Of all the United States Armed Forces, the one branch that doesn't get portrayed much in Hollywood films is the U.S. Coast Guard. But, in 2006, a movie about the USCG came out from the director of The Fugitive, Andrew Davis.
The Guardian didn't seem to get much publicity when it first released, but when I finally saw it years later, it was an OMG-How-did-I-not-hear-about-this-film? moment.
