Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

When it comes to movie villains, Khan Noonien Singh from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan--played brilliantly by Ricardo Montalbán--is among the most prominent in today's pop culture.

But my personal favorite of all the Star Trek films is General Chang from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Christopher Plummer played the Klingon general, who likes to cite Shakespeare, and delivered one of the most memorable performances ever.

Co-written and directed by Star Trek II director, Nicholas Meyer, Star Trek VI was the last film with the original TV cast members. The movie came out in 1991, the same year when the Rodney King incident occurred, and coincidentally, racism was a core theme throughout the film.

There have been great movies with the crews from both the original and Next Generation TV series, but of all them, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country is hands down my top favorite.
