For years, films adapted from video games have gotten a bad rap. But with renowned film and TV producer Jerry Bruckheimer and the game's creator Jordan Mechner involved in the movie's creation, Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time is a worthy adaptation.
Walt Disney Pictures went all out for the film with an estimated budget of nearly $200 million, and Prince Of Persia shows it. Hollywood rarely makes epic movies like these anymore with so many extras and extremely high production value.
But it's the story about family and betrayal where the movie truly shines. Add a cast that includes award-winning actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Ben Kingsley, and Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time is a highly entertaining two hours of escapism.
