Predestination

Do you like having your mind fucked? Then Predestination is right up your alley.

If I didn't know better, I'd say Predestination was from Christopher Nolan, whose mind-bending films like Memento, Inception, and The Prestige have your mind doing mental gymnastics. Heck, I saw Batman Begins a few times before I fully understood the evil plot by the League of Shadows.

But, nope, Predestination is a 2014 Australian film based on a science fiction short story published way back in 1959. The movie is similar to Timecop with Jean-Claude Van Damme, in which time travel is used for law enforcement, but Predestination is more of a drama thriller than an action film.

Predestination is an incredible story about an ostracized orphaned girl with exceptional abilities and an extremely unique biology. In one of his best roles ever, Ethan Hawke is the movie's headliner, but Sarah Snook is a standout in the lead role with her memorable performance.
