Blame It On Rio

"Ted, things have been so crappy lately. Is there a good comedy you recommend?"

Well, I've found what helps get my mind off things is not comedies per se, but any great movie, like the ones (ahem) showcased in Ted's MOVIE OF THE WEEK.

The key is to watch a movie that is so good that it keeps your attention and engages you for as long as possible. A serious, even sad, drama film can be better than a mediocre comedy in this regard.

With that said, Blame It On Rio with Michael Caine is comedy gold and is my all-time favorite comedy movie next to All Of Me. Caine plays a married man who has an affair with his best friend's daughter. The romantic comedy has a great script with slapstick humor, but some of the dialogue alone is just LMAO funny.
