I'm looking forward to Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ and thought it would be a good time to showcase one of Ewan McGregor's many films after his breakout role as the Jedi Knight in the Star Wars prequels.
With Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams, Deception is a psychological thriller, and Ewan McGregor plays a timid audit manager who gets caught up in a sex club. But things are not what they seem as the plot thickens.
Deception may seem like a fairly generic thriller, and there's no action, but its excellent cast and cinematography elevate the film above mediocrity. 20th Century Fox released Deception, but apparently, it didn't get much of a marketing budget because it's another film I didn't hear about. I'm so glad I stumbled upon it, though, because Deception is another movie gem.
