Wrath of Man

Wrath of Man combines two of my movie favorites--a heist plot and Jason Statham. The 2021 film is a refreshing twist on the heist genre because it's mostly not about someone committing the robberies. Statham's character gets a job with an armored transportation services company, but he's no rookie as his boss and co-workers quickly find out, and he's out for blood.

Jason Statham is one of the greatest action stars in Hollywood, but his films are not just mindless action. They have good stories, and Wrath of Man is elevated to another level with writer and director Guy Ritchie's witty style of storytelling using different perspectives.

I didn't realize I've showcased so many heist films in Ted's MOVIE OF THE WEEK since I started back in 2018--Point Break, Inception, The Score, The Fast and The Furious, The Hurricane Heist, American Heist, The Forger, Logan Lucky, Heat, Tracers, Thief, Time To Hunt.

Wrath of Man is not just one of Statham's best films. The trailer doesn't do justice to the movie because I also think Wrath of Man is one of the best heist films ever.
