Code 8

Code 8 has an unusual look because it features futuristic technology, but the sci-fi film looks like it takes place in the present day. And while it may be categorized as action, the story focuses mainly on human and social issues.

Code 8 is about people with special superhuman abilities known to be "power-enabled." There was a time when they were respected and revered, and now society treats them as outcasts, much like some mutants were in X-Men films.

Code 8 is cleverly written, and I always appreciate a good humanistic story and characters with great depth. The film serves as a reminder that just because some people seem "different," they are human beings who want to be treated with respect and dignity like everybody else.
