Mark Hamill, Bill Paxton, two Academy Award winners, the director of Tron, and the producer of Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back . . . How in the hell did I not hear about Slipstream before?!
Released in 1989, Slipstream is a sci-fi action thriller that takes place in a dystopian future (of course), and it's about a fugitive who turns out to be much more than meets the eye. Bill Paxton's character befriends the criminal while Mark Hamill's and his partner are in pursuit of their prize.
Ted's MOVIE OF THE WEEK is largely to showcase movie gems, and if there's an ultimate gem, it just might be Slipstream.
