A Call To Spy

British intelligence is world-famous, but its humble beginnings were not without sacrifice. Mission Intelligence, Section 6, better known as MI6, was formed in the early 1900s, but in World War II, a covert spy organization was created under Winston Churchill called the Special Operations Executive (SOE).

SOE started recruiting women because they were thought to raise less suspicion, and one of them was Virginia Hall, who, interestingly enough, was an American and an amputee. A Call To Spy tells the story of the SOE, Virginia, and the men and women who infiltrated Nazi-occupied France to build up a resistance against the Axis powers.

Spies are often glamorized in movies, but A Call To Spy takes a more realistic look into espionage and spy warfare, and it's yet another excellent film about a little-known history of WWII.
