Barb Wire

Pamela Anderson was ahead of her time, and no, I'm not talking about Baywatch.

You're probably thinking, "Ted, I think you may have had too much eggnog."

But hear me out.

Before films like The Matrix and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon portrayed ass-kicking women, Pamela Anderson Lee was kicking ass in the title role of the 1996 action-packed film Barb Wire.

In the post-apocalyptic future of the year 2017, Barb Wire is a bar club owner who moonlights as a mercenary and bounty hunter. Based on the Dark Horse Comics, Barb Wire is campy with over-the-top action, features impressive stunts, and stars a then-unknown Temuera Morrison (The Book of Boba Fett).

Barb Wire was not a commercial success, but it was among the first to feature an onscreen gun fu heroine long before Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, and Kate Beckinsale became action stars. Barb Wire is still very entertaining for an old film, and I think it is primed for a reboot.
