Navalny

Vladimir Putin is a POS scumbag, and that's me being polite. The Kremlin keeps giving reasons for the international community to condemn them. Let's see, we got the interference in U.S. elections, the invasion of Ukraine, and now Alexei Navalny.

Released in 2022, Navalny is another outstanding documentary from CNN Films about the Russian lawyer turned political Putin opponent turned activist. Specifically, Navalny chronicles the attempted assassination of him in 2020.

But what's really interesting is that an open critic of Alexei Navalny became one of his closest allies. The "data journalist" used unconventional means to get information to investigate the poisoning of Nalvany because, as he explained, sources can't always be trusted in this day of "fake news."

Associating with the far-right and nationalism, Alexei Navalny wasn't exactly a perfect political angel, and it appears he had a death wish. Is the enemy of my enemy my friend? In this case, not exactly. But what's admirable was Navalny's bravery and courage in standing up against Putin, and he wanted to do the right thing in fighting government corruption and authoritarianism.

While Alexei Navalny can't take credit for first stating this, his activism can be summed up in one sentence:

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing."
