A shoot-'em-up movie like Lucy would probably never get nominated for an Oscar, but it doesn't mean a movie in this genre can't have actors that deliver outstanding performances. The character arc of Lucy shows off Scarlett Johansson's commendable acting range.
Lucy is more than a story about someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time. While some of the science in the film may be questionable, there's a theme that revolves around our brains and the human species. Written and directed by Luc Besson, Lucy is another forgotten and very underappreciated movie by the French filmmaker.
