American History X

When I hear about Trump extremists getting convicted, I like to say they should watch American History X to prepare them for prison life because there's a prison rape scene in the film.

The production of American History X itself had a interesting history. The director, Tony Kaye, came from a music video and advertising background and never directed a movie before. Consequently, there were some creative differences in production, and Edward Norton ended up re-editing the film.

Edward Norton plays a white supremacist whose family has been impacted by his actions and Neo-Nazism. The memorable cast includes Edward Furlong (Terminator 2: Judgment Day), Avery Brooks (Deep Space Nine), Stacy Keach (The New Mike Hammer), and Beverly D'Angelo (National Lampoon's Vacation).

Everyone is capable of change and deserves a second chance, and American History X is an exceptional film about redemption. It may be too graphic to be shown in schools, but American History X is a highly regarded film that everybody should see.
