Gattaca

I've seen Gattaca a number of times, and I was today years old when I realized the film title is derived from the four letters used in DNA sequences--"A" represents the nucleotide Adenine, "C" is for Cytosine, "G" is for Guanine, and "T" is for Thymine.

Brilliantly written and directed by Andrew Niccol (Anon), Gattaca is a movie about genetic engineering and social class divisions and has quietly become a science fiction classicStarring Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Jude Law, along with some other very familiar faces, Gattaca is a gripping, slow-paced, talky thriller that revolves around a murder.

While it is science fiction that takes place in the "not-too-distant future," Gattaca is as much about sociology as it is about genetics, and you don't have to be a sci-fi fan to relate with and appreciate its human story. Hence, I think Gattaca should be on everybody's must-see-at-least-once list.
