Mr. Mom

I recently learned Carrie Fisher and Teri Garr were roommates. Who knew? Teri Garr may be widely known for her role in Friends, but for Gen Xers growing up, she was another frequently familiar face on cable television and film.

Written by John Hughes and Executive Produced by Aaron Spelling, the man behind many hit TV shows in the 70s and 80s, Mr. Mom was ahead of its time with its story about gender equity. With Michael Keaton in his breakout movie role and the ever-talented Teri Garr in one of her best roles, Mr. Mom is still a fun and charming movie.

Rest in peace, Teri Garr.
