Terminator: Dark Fate

The premise may stay the same, but I'll probably never get tired of Terminator films. James Cameron didn't take the helm as Director, but he and David S. Goyer (Blade trilogy, The Dark Knight trilogy, Man of Steel) contributed to the story of Terminator: Dark Fate, and Cameron served as the movie's Producer.

Cameron's Terminator films have always had perfect casting, and Terminator: Dark Fate is no exception. It's always awesome to see Arnold Schwarzenegger reprise his role as the T-800, but it's Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor who was the scene stealer in this legacy sequel, and I was reminded what an exceptional actress she is.

Despite its dark tone and violence, Terminator films still interject some comic relief, but Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool), is the funniest of them all, making it almost borderline action comedy.

With a female-led and largely Latino cast and the topic of immigration, I can see how Terminator: Dark Fate may not appeal to certain people in this day and age, but as a longtime Terminator fan, I can say this installment is hands down one of the very best in the franchise. Now that the hype has long passed, I highly recommend rewatching/watching Terminator: Dark Fate.
