Ed Harris is another great actor who seemed to have dropped out of the Hollywood limelight, so I was delighted when I saw him playing opposite Liam Neeson in Run All Night.
The premise of the 2015 film resembles Road To Perdition with Tom Hanks. In Run All Night, Liam Neeson plays a "retired" mobster trying to protect his son played by Joel Kinnaman (RoboCop), who avoided following in his father's footsteps--until one night when they find themselves being hunted by the police and local mob. Ed Harris plays the crime boss whose son got killed and wants no less than an eye for an eye.
Run All Night fittingly takes place in "The City That Never Sleeps." It's expectedly violent and gritty, but it's not your average mobster film. The movie features an excellent cast and action, and I greatly enjoy watching superstars Liam Neeson and Ed Harris doing scenes together.
Run All Night is another underrated action crime drama and one of my favorite Liam Neeson films since Taken.
